Access Yamhill County Inmate Records

Yamhill County inmate records start with the county jail roster when a person is held in local custody. A Yamhill County jail roster search can show current adults in custody, booking dates, charges, bail entries, scheduled release information, and booking-detail fields. The roster is only one access channel. Jail records staff, sheriff's public-records requests, Oregon state custody systems, federal tools, and victim-notification searches all cover different parts of the same custody path. The right lookup depends on whether the person is in the county jail, state prison, federal custody, or immigration custody.

Yamhill County Jail Roster

The public roster path is the Yamhill County Adults In Custody page, which embeds the official Current Roster application. The direct roster starts with an agreement screen. That screen cites HB 3273, explains that booking photos are not generally released to the public before a law-enforcement purpose or conviction, says all listed people are innocent until proven guilty, and warns that the data should not be misused or sold.

After the user clicks Agree, the roster displays current adults in custody at Yamhill County Correctional Facility. It is not a statewide criminal-history search, and it is not the BOP locator for Federal Correctional Institution Sheridan. The same Yamhill County inmate records workflow can therefore split quickly: current local jail custody uses the roster, sentenced state custody uses Oregon Offender Search or VISOR, and federal custody uses BOP or ICE tools.

Use the Yamhill County Roster

The roster does not behave like a normal search form. The inspected application did not show a name box, booking-number box, date filter, or facility dropdown. It is a current list behind an agreement gate. Users browse the table and open a name link for more detail.

  1. Open the Yamhill County Adults In Custody page or the direct Current Roster.
  2. Read the HB 3273 booking-photo notice and the roster-use warning.
  3. Select Agree to load the current roster table.
  4. Review the Name, Book Date, Charge, Bail, and Scheduled Release columns.
  5. Click the person's name to open the booking-detail page when a match appears.
  6. Call the jail before posting bail or relying on a scheduled release field.

The roster agreement screen is the first step before current Yamhill County inmate records appear.

That screen is also where the county gives its clearest public warning about booking-photo restrictions and misuse of roster data.

Yamhill County Roster Fields

The roster's limits are just as important as its fields. A person may be missed if the user expects a search box, if the person has been released, if the person was transferred to ODOC, or if the custody is federal or immigration custody. The public list is best for current jail custody.

Yamhill County Inmate Profile

The inspected Yamhill County booking detail showed offense, demographics, bail, arrest and book dates, file and booking numbers, arresting officer, and a charge table. The county roster did not show a mugshot, date of birth, full address, race, SID, warrant number, bond-setting judge, public housing unit, cell, or case-number link in the inspected sample.

FieldWhat it shows
Name and offenseThe person listed in last, first, middle format and one main offense near the top
Age, gender, height, weight, hair, eyesBasic identity fields visible on the detail page or hover card
BailDisplayed as a field, but the jail says amounts must be confirmed before payment

File number and booking numberLocal identifiers useful for records staff or court follow-up

MugshotNo public booking photo appeared in the inspected detail page

The official sample booking-detail URL captured in the research shows how much more detail may appear after a name is opened.

The booking detail is useful for file and booking numbers, but it should still be checked against court records when formal charges matter.

Yamhill County Jail Facilities

For local custody, the main facility is Yamhill County Correctional Facility in McMinnville. FCI Sheridan is also in Yamhill County, but it is federal and not searched on the sheriff's roster. That distinction prevents many lookup errors.

Yamhill County Jail Visits

Yamhill County changed its communication vendor recently. Effective December 10, 2024, NCIC Correctional Services replaced GTL/ViaPath for adult-in-custody visitation. Effective January 31, 2025, YCCF added video chat and messaging to in-person visitation. The county says visitors must be approved, and the adult in custody may submit no more than five names for the visit list. New visitors register online and then contact Jail Records for final approval.

Bail and Commissary Records

Yamhill County's bail and commissary page says Team3 Software Solutions became the payment portal effective February 20, 2025. Bail can be posted at the Trial Court Clerk's office during regular business hours, except municipal court bail. After hours, bail can be posted through the Team3 kiosk in the correctional facility lobby. Online bail payments can also be made through Team3, and the county warns that extra charges may apply.

Yamhill County State Federal Lookup

Once a person is sentenced to Oregon state prison, the county jail roster may stop being the best source. Search Oregon Offender Search by name or SID and use VISOR for custody status and notifications. Oregon DOJ describes VISOR as free and says it can check custody status and register users for release or transfer notifications. For federal custody, use the BOP inmate locator. For immigration custody, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator.

VISOR is also the fallback when a family member needs notice rather than a full case file. Oregon's system can search by name fragments, and notifications may be requested with or without an account. ODOC's search is better for sentenced state prisoners, while VISOR is often better for status changes, transfers, and release notices that affect victims or household members. Neither system replaces the Yamhill County roster for a new local booking, and neither system posts county bail instructions.

Note: A Yamhill County roster entry can show a U.S. Marshals hold, but federal release questions must be checked through federal channels.
